Microsoft paid a hundred thousand dollars to discovery a gap in Windows 8.1


 

Microsoft paid a bonus for the security researcher James Forshaw of 100 thousand dollars for his discovery of a vulnerability in the operating system and the new Windows 8.1 , the highest reward can be obtained within the program Mitigation Bypass Bounty.
Forshaw said that developed the test Canape tool for network protocols that he spent about a month in the search for ways to circumvent the various defenses developed by Microsoft in its latest order .
The official did not disclose safety strategies at Microsoft Kate Moussouris discovered details about the gap , but said it will help the company to make the gaps and weaknesses are less useful when users are exposed to try piracy .
